HOW WE CELEBRATE CASTANYADA

We celebrate the Castanyada in Catalonia on the 31st of October. It Consists of a meal, normally a dinner. That day we have dinner with the family or friends and we eat chestnuts, panellets, sweet potatoes and preserved fruits,  we typically join them with moscatell to drink. Around the time of this celebration, it is common to find in the streets people selling hot toasted chestnuts.
