HISTORY OF THE CASTANYADA

La castanyada is a tyipical catalan party. They celebrate it on the dead people’s day, ‘Tots Sants’.  In the XVIII century, people used to eat dry fruit and ‘panellets’ They said prayers while they were cooking the chestnuts. The prayers were about all the loved dead  people to remember them.
